Kakiharas most frightening counterpart is the mysterious Ichi, a psychopathic killer with a dark childhood secret, who is controlled by a retired cop. When a Yakuza boss named Anjo disappears with 300 million yen, his chief henchman, a sadomasochistic man named Kakihara, and the rest of his mob goons go looking for him. After capturing and torturing a rival Yakuza member looking for answers, they soon realize they have the wrong man and begin looking for the man named Jijii who tipped them off in the first place. Soon enough Kakihara and his men encounter Ichi, a psychotic, sexually-repressed young man with amazing martial arts abilities and blades that come out of his shoes. One by one Ichi takes out members of the Yakuza and all the while Kakihara intensifies his pursuit of Ichi and Ichi's controller Jijii. What will happen as the final showdown happens between the tortured and ultra-violent Ichi and the pain-craving Kakihara? I saw this movie over a month ago, i just couldn't believe how much it sucked... it has no plot at all, some stupid characters that think they're so evil for the sake of making violence just to "entertain" viewers(btw I got completely bored during the whole movie and wanted it to end, tedious as hell). <br/><br/>The violence scenes are a joke, they use some lame effects that make everything look so fake that it's laughable... uncut or not, don't waste your money on this crappy film, it's not worth it, not even disgusting, this is a joke!!! even the title name sucks hahah ICHI THE KILLER'S FINAL RATING: * out of ********** Well i have to start by stating that Ichi the Killer is without a doubt the Best film i have seen. I absolutely love the character "Kakihara" Tadanobu Asano was just fantastic in this film, his torture scenes were easy to watch and you kind of giggle along with him. All the characters in the film have their own parts to play, the actor who portrays Ichi done a fantastic job, you do feel sorry for Ichi and after watching it a few times you do start to understand everything that had happened to him that makes him turn into the cold hearted person who could Kill anyone at the drop of a hat. I love the fact that in the film you see the work of both a Sadist and Masochist something which is hard to find in most films. I was extremely sad when Ichi finally got Kakihara in the end i was hoping that we would get another film out of it. i would have loved to have seen the sequel. If you haven't already seen Ichi the Killer then this is a must have for anybody who loves deep and dark films. Unhinged even for Takashi Miike, Ichi the Killer suggests a bloody and ejaculate-stained Rorschach inkblot, reveling in ultraviolence that can be interpreted to flatter any adventurous audience's sensibilities. Several scenes containing violence against women had to be cut for the British release. In the US, the film was released in a R-Rated version, which was cut by 11 minutes, as well as in an uncut unrated version. The R-Rated has been cut by roughly the same amount of time as the German version. Unlike the German version, however, they did not cut whole sections of the movie in the R-Rated. More scenes with sexual content are missing, though. For example, the film title, forming from a pool of sperm, was removed completely.<br/><br/>In HongKong the movie was released in a cut version only even though it received the highest rating: CAT III. Nearly 17 minutes were cut for this version.
